Running Assessment From a Real Runner

Nate will guide you through a comprehensive running assessment to determine the most effective strategy for improving your training and performance.

Step1: Gait Analysis

A detailed assessment of your running mechanics to evaluate stride length, cadence, foot strike pattern, joint alignment, and symmetry. Video analysis is used in addition to identify compensations, loading patterns, and inefficiencies that may contribute to pain or injury risk.

Step 2: Movement Assessment

Functional movement patterns are assessed, including squatting, lunging, single-leg balance, and hip control. This evaluation identified mobility restrictions, stability deficits, and neuromuscular control issues affecting running performance.

Step 3: Shoe Observation:

Current running footwear is examined for wear patterns, structural support, cushioning integrity, and suitability for the athlete’s gait mechanics. Wear distribution provided insight into loading tendencies and potential biomechanical imbalances.

Step 4: Strength Test

Targeted strength testing focused on key running muscle groups, to guide future improvements and rehabilitation planning.

Step 5: Training Plan

Targeted strength testing focused on key running muscle groups, to guide future improvements and rehabilitation planning.
